Wirral Chamber of Commerce, working with strategic partners Morgan Sindall and Wirral Chamber of Commerce patrons Wirral Met College, are inviting Construction sector organisations from across the Liverpool City Region to attend the Talent of the Future Supply Chain event taking place on Thursday 19th January 2017 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at Wirral Met College’s Wirral Waters Campus in Birkenhead.

This event will enable local construction organisations to hear from Peel about the latest developments and opportunities at Wirral Waters. They will be able to register their interest in supply chain opportunities, find out about how to recruit apprentices and the funding available to do so, and to register for ongoing support via Wirral Chamber of Commerce and the Construction Forum. There will be opportunities to meet key representatives from Peel, Morgan Sindall, CITB, Wirral Chamber of Commerce and Wirral Met College, as well as to meet the students who are preparing for apprenticeships as they display their skills in the excellent new facilities at the campus.

As the Wirral Waters development progresses, there will be more and more apprenticeship opportunities for construction students currently studying at Wirral Met across the many different trades including brickwork and plastering, carpentry and joinery, electrical installation, painting, design and decoration, and plumbing and heating. This is a further example of how Wirral Met College works closely with employers to generate opportunities for students and apprentices to gain valuable work experience and employment opportunities, to help them take the first step in their careers.
