Wirral Met were delighted to welcome Sajid Javid, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, who recently visited the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) Centre at the Twelve Quays Campus.  

Mr Javid visited Wirral Met following his announcement that £72m government funding has been awarded to Liverpool City Region to help create jobs, support businesses and encourage growth.

During his visit to the college, Mr Javid accompanied staff on a tour of its state-of-the-art facilities.  He also met apprentices studying at Wirral Met and stated afterwards that he was really impressed with what he saw at Wirral Met.
