Recruitment support options
Wirral Met will help you recruit the best apprenticeship candidate for your role by:

  • Using our networks (e.g. with JobCentre Plus) to promote your role
  • Sharing your job description with students who are ready to progress into employment in your sector
  • Promoting vacancies via the College’s website and social media accounts

Accessing funding
We will help you access funding to minimise the costs of training and development:

  • We will advise on continuing professional development courses which are free or part-funded by the Government
  • We will support small to medium sized organisations access Government grants, CITB grants for Construction employers or levy transfer funds, as available, for apprenticeship training and development
  • We can develop a package of training and development services which maximise the use of your training budget

How you can work with us
By working with us, you will be helping people upskill or enter a new profession, and support the local economy by helping to fill vacancies in key industries. Our partners work with us in the following ways:

  • Provide work experience and/or supported internship opportunities
  • Take on apprentices
  • Identify skills shortages and providing input into our curriculum design
  • Advise on machinery, equipment and resources which reflect your industry sector
  • Host visits, industry insight events or share your experience as a speaker
  • Take part in judging student competitions and/or sponsor student awards
  • Select ‘work-ready’ candidates from our student talent pool
  • Participating at our recruitment events and jobs fairs
